This long necklace is made of antique dark blue Prosser beads. Beads are strung on fine chain that is strong and durable. Fun tassel is abundant of beads!The bead cap is adorned with vintage (1970s) Swar. crystals in color of "Siam" red, glass pearls and seed beads. Tassel hangs from a metal plate that is covered with beads and pearls with beautiful sparkly Swar. crystal in the middle!
The beads used in this lariat were made in France. Probably between 1910-1940, but the company of Bapterosses started to produce beads already in 1860s. These are sometimes referred as trade beads for majority of them was produced for African market. Or porcelain beads for it's shiny look that comes from unique process of making.
